AGEADAPT: successful kick-off

The Erasmus+ project “AGEADAPT” began with a hybrid kick-off meeting in Schwerin. Participants from the project partners in Spain, Slovenia and the Czech Republic came to our state capital. A colleague from Poland, who could not attend in person due to time constraints, was connected via video.

In addition to administrative and organisational topics, the agenda also included the first concrete tasks that the project consortium will work on in the coming months: what good examples of successful age management already exist in small and medium-sized enterprises? What needs do older workers have and what can companies do to ensure that they stay longer in the company?

The project partners will try to answer these questions through extensive research and, above all, through interviews with experts in companies, associations and chambers. In spring 2022, the first result of the project will be a comprehensive comparative report on the situation in the participating European countries.

A guided tour of the city and a joint dinner ensured that the visitors were able to get to know the state capital and each other better.

In the end, everyone was very satisfied with the start of the project and happy that a personal meeting was possible despite the Corona-related restrictions.

growMET: Kick-off meeting

Once again we had no choice but to implement our kick-off meeting for the new European project “groMET” in the virtual realm. 16 participants from Romania, Spain, Italy, Slovenia and Germany came together for the first time to get to know each other and to take the first steps in the project together.

Video calls have become quite familiar in the last year, but it is always a challenge to conduct such a first meeting in this way. All participants are hopeful that the next meeting, which is scheduled for November in Italy, will be held in person.

New Erasmus+ project

We are happy to announce the start of our new Erasmus+ project “Growth Mindset in Educational Triangles (growMET). For the next 24 months, we will work together with partners from Slovenia, Romania, Italy, Spain and Germany in the field of digital education.

More detailed informations can be found here.

Accreditation for Erasmus 2021-2027

Good news have reached us: we are now accredited for mobility activities under the Erasmus programme of the EU. Thus we will organise and implement individual internships for VET students and trainers in Europe.

We are very happy about this decision and do hope to implement the first activities in the fall of 2021.

BECOMING: First staff training completed

This week we completed the first international staff training in our project “BECOMING“. Originally planned as a five-day full-time training, we had to compress it to five online sessions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After a necessary adaption phase – especially to the virtual group work – we were progressing quickly. Andrea Buonasperme (Roscioli Development/IT) was an excellent trainer. We learned to analyze important trends in the economy and society using the PESTEL method.

In a next step we deduced the most important skills and knowledge required in the jobs of the future. How will job profiles change in the next five to ten years? Which new job are emerging?

The tools and methods we learned in the training will now be used for the next step in the project: the development of career guidance and development services. All the partners will work together with small and medium enterprises (SME) in their region to identify the necessary changes for the ongoing transformations.

First transnational project meeting for “BECOMING”

On 26.11.2020 eight partner organisations from three countries – Germany, the Czech Republic and Italy – met for their first transnational project meeting in our new Erasmus project “BECOMING”. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic this meeting was completely online.

After a virtual “speed dating”, that helped to get to know each other, the partners discussed and agreed upon the first tasks in the project.

New project in Erasmus+

“Being in continuous innovation and growing” is the title of our new project within the Erasmus+-program. Together with seven other institutions from Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic, we will develop and test materials and methods for the promotion of lifelong learning.

The project will start in October 2020.

Project start for the family workshop Schwerin

The project team

Our project „Familienwerkstatt Schwerin“ (family workshop Schwerin) has received the notice of funding within the framework of the model program “Akti(F) – Active for families and their children“. This project is financed by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs within the framework of the European Social Fund for the period from March 2020 to December 2022.

The aim of the programme is to improve the living situation and social participation of families and children. The joint project of RegioVision GmbH Schwerin and Anker Sozialarbeit Gemeinnützige GmbH will realize the objectives of the federal programme in Schwerin.

The project is aimed at families with children under the age of 18 who receive benefits in accordance with the Second or the Twelfth Book of the German Social Code (including supplementary benefits), parents who receive or are entitled to child supplements, single parents, the long-term unemployed and persons with disabilities. The participating families have the opportunity to try out their practical skills in various areas, to communicate with their children at work and to create something together. Based on the experiences and abilities of the participants, an individual competence assessment is carried out and based on the results each participant receives a personal integration plan with the aim of starting a job or vocational education.

Successful completion of MobiPro

Even if it is difficult these days to focus on anything not related to Corona, there are still some other stories to tell. In February our MobiPro-project was successfully completed. We interviewed Samuel Mourreo, who graduated as an industrial mechanic.

When you came to Germany three years ago: what was your first thought?

I am arriving in a whole new place that is completely different from everything I knew before.

What do you like most about Schwerin?

It’s a bit complicated to say. But I think what I liked most was the opportunity to start a new life.

What are you missing here in Germany?

Germany and Spain are like night and day, so I miss the Spanish way of life most.

What are your plans for the future?

I want to study here and improve my skills and knowledge.

Thank you very much and good luck!
